Library Hours:

  • Monday through Thursday—7:00 AM till 4:00 PM
  • Friday—7:00 AM till 3:30 PM

  • by providing intellectual and physical access to materials in all formats.
  • by providing instruction to foster competence and stimulate interest in reading, viewing, and using information and ideas.
  • by working with other educators to design learning strategies to meet the needs of individual students.

The library media center houses approximately 10,000 items, including books, magazines, audio and videotapes and DVD’s, and various pieces of equipment such as computers, overhead projectors, media players, and cameras.

The library media center is only as good as the support it receives from the District, the school and its patrons.  The return of materials ON TIME is crucial for supporting the curricular needs of all students.  It is important for patrons to return materials for others to access.  Waiting until the end of the year to return overdue books is not acceptable.  It becomes each patron’s responsibility to meet deadlines and, out of consideration for other users, to return materials no longer needed.

Parents are invited to visit the media center to see the day-to-day operation and to make suggestions for a stronger, more functional center.

Information about the new iPad, Apple's electronic book reader

What's Ahead for Kids' Books on the iPad
Book publishers have some Harry Potter-like magic in store for books that will debut on Apple’s new iPad platform.

Live glossaries, audio and video notes users can create right in the text, taking live quizzes and having them scored in the book—all these details are expected to go live, according to Josh Koppel, chief creative officer and cofounder of ScrollMotion
, which develops iPhone and ebook applications for book publishers. Click here for the full story.
Overdue Fines and "Lost Book" Fees

Attention all students and ESPECIALLY SENIORS:

Don't wait till the last minute. Get all your library and textbooks checked in and off your accounts. As of May 3, 2010, the library will not be checking out any books. It's time to get everything back in and run our yearly inventory There are many students who have books (library and textbooks) checked out on his/her account that are overdue or were not returned and will be considered lost.  You must either find and return the school’s copy or pay to replace the lost book.  Students, these fines and fees must be paid before you will receive your graduation diploma.

  • Please take care of any outstanding fines and fees as soon as possible and return any overdue books.
